We're a small Sri Lankan family based out of Washington, USA. We started Serendip Delights because we wanted to share our cultural heritage with you! For us, every biscuit and every sip of tea symbolizes the rich traditions and stories that makes Sri Lanka so charming. Our mission is simple: to bring a piece of Sri Lanka to your pantry, one treat at a time!
Why the name Serendip Delights? Well, Sri Lanka has been called various names in the past—Tamraparni, Tabropane, Silam, and more. Among these, the classical Persian name "Serendip" caught our eye as it inspired Michelle Tramezzino to pen the tale of "The Three Princes of Serendip", a story that has since become synonymous with the English word "serendipity". We found this to be the perfect name that reflects the spirit of our business!

We source our products directly from suppliers and manufacturers in Sri Lanka, including small family-run businesses, aligning with our commitment to authenticity.
