November 13th, 2024 - U.S. Embassy Colombo has lifted travel restrictions issued on October 23, 2024, for Arugam Bay. 

October 23rd, 2024 - The U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka has issued an alert regarding a credible threat targeting popular tourist areas in Arugam Bay, Eastern Province.
