How to Apply for a Sri Lankan Visa

eVisa

As of April 17th, 2024, the Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka implemented a new online application portal called eVisa. This portal, operated exclusively by IVS-GBS and VFS Global, will replace the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system that was previously in use.

To apply for a Sri Lankan visa, you'll need to complete the online application form on the eVisa portal prior to your arrival. An eVisa fee waiver has been introduced for citizens of China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Japan, until April 30th, 2024.

Please note that the eVisa categories are also charged an additional 18.50 USD service fee.

 Visa on Arrival

If eligible, you may be able to obtain a visa upon arrival at designated entry points in Sri Lanka. It's typically valid for 30 days. However, we recommend getting an eVisa to avoid any potential disruptions.
